Celebrating a Record Year

Parallel 55 celebrated a record year in 2002.

In February, we built a fingerjoint plant at Williams Lake, adding a second line to our operations. A third line is being planned for our operations at Mackenzie in 2003. The Williams Lake plant now runs three shifts a day, and achieved a record production week on December 2-6. We are also planning the upgrade of the operations at Williams Lake to manufacture J-Grade fingerjoint studs in 2003.

2002 was a record production year for our fingerjoint operations at Mackenzie. A fourth shift was added early in the year to help meet the demand for our products throughout North America, and in Japan. The Mackenzie plant now runs three shifts a day, five days a week, plus a 32-hour weekend shift.

Setting high standards and breaking records is a challenge that our employees set for themselves. Our record production in 2002 is a tribute to their initiative and their high productivity.

Further growth is projected for 2003, when both operations will be expanded to achieve plant efficiencies, and further support our customers.
